The house is located minutes from downtown Marion where you can enjoy many attractions but yet still feel far away from the hustle and bustle. Here you can have relaxation with a resort setting and mountain views. The Public Access Boat ramp is 1.7 miles away. Asheville, home to the Biltmore House is 45 minutes away, Chimney Rock/Lake Lure is an hour away, Linville Falls is 35 minutes away, the Blue Ridge Parkway is only a 20 minutes drive and Grandfather Mountain/Snow Skiing is one hour away. The main level features a front porch and large full length back deck both with beautiful mountain views. Family room has HDTV flat screen with Bose CD player. The kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with everything needed in food preparation and presentation. The Master bedroom with closet is equipped with HDTV flat screen and a luxurious King size bed. There is one bathroom on this level. Down the staircase on the second level is the Guest bedroom with closet is equipped with HDTV flat screen and a queen size bed. Also in the Sitting Room the Futon has a hide away bed that makes a Full. The washer and dryer are located here also. You can add a golf cart rental to your stay for $50 per day If you have bring a boat you will have the option to park it in a slip at the Marina during the duration of your stay at no additional charge! Also you can rent a pontoon boat for $300 a day or $275 a day if you rent for multiple days! (This house is not on the water, it does have lake access 0.3 miles away from a white sandy beach)

The Robbins Retreat is brand new! It sleeps 10 comfortably in two master suites, a bunk bedroom and three and a half baths, located on 120 feet of deep water lakefront with its own dock. The deep water cove makes for great jumping off the end of the dock and easy boat navigation (pontoon boat rental available nearby - ask owner for details). If that's not enough fun, then walk over to the neighborhood pool right next door where you'll also find a fire pit (pool and fire pit available from April 1 to Oct 31st), outdoor shower, bathrooms, and large shelter. The house is minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, Linville Gorge, Table Rock, Black Mountain, and other day adventures. This is a place for fun, adventure, and exploration. The Space: Designed for comfort, we chose amenities we would hope for in a vacation rental. A good night sleep is top of the list, so the Robbins Retreat has two king sized beds (one is California king for the taller folks) and the others are single sleepers so that no one has to jockey for position. The layout of the house makes it perfect to share with friends or another family. There are separate living spaces, each with a large screen TV, making it easy to separate people with different entertainment preferences. There are two master bedrooms, one is a suite that has two additional twin beds. The third bedroom has two bunk beds, sleeping an additional four people, each in their own bed. All bedrooms are lakefront and have views of Table Rock and Shortoff Mountain in the distance. The Robbins Retreat is newly built. We worked with a local mill to retrieve the wood from the property so we could use it in the house. You’ll see several of these wood items, including the mantel, shelves, mirrors, and dining tables. Guest access: While you’re staying here, the house will be your private retreat. Equipped with full-size laundry, hairdryers in each bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, gas grill, and a wood burning fireplace (for winter use only), we want you to feel at home. Near the water is a boathouse, providing you with non-motorized boats for your enjoyment. - Single kayak - Double kayak - Kid’s single kayak - Standup Paddle Board (SUP) - Life jackets in various sizes The Robbins Retreat dock is available for you to moar your jet ski or boat if you choose to bring your own. The closest public boat ramp is just a 5- minute drive. Interaction with guests: For check-in, you will receive the community gate code as well as a personalized keyless entry code to the house. You can arrive anytime after 4 PM on your first day and leave by 11 AM on your last day. Though we will not be at the house during your stay, we are only a text or phone call away. We have pulled together a list of our favorite local spots and adventures which will be provided to you to help you make the most of your stay. Other things to note: The house is on well and septic, so please be conscious of your water use and PLEASE do not flush anything other than toilet paper and do not put food or fats down the drain. The trash is picked up at the end of your stay by the cleaning crew and taken into town so please do not pour liquid in the trash which increases the likelihood of leaks during transit. (That said, please do put fatty liquids into the trash so it doesn’t go down the drain into the septic.) If you would like additional cleaning and trash service during your stay, that can be arranged after booking, and before your stay for an additional fee. The house is also our personal vacation home and one we plan to pass down the family, so please treat it as you would your own, leaving it in the same or better condition you found it (minus the cleaning, which the crew will take care of for you).
